Rudolf Steiner posited this about 100 years ago. The human being—a spirit-soul-body entity—structures the water in every drop of his body, in constant connection with creation, with inconceivable amounts of subtle vortex forces. This occurs on multiple levels and dimensions, extending all the way into the purely spiritual realm.

The blood, lymphatic fluids, intracellular water, etc., are propelled throughout the human body by these vortex forces. And the blood moved in this way, in turn, drives the heart. The heart itself is structured like a vortex.
