Hear the Sound of Sound! Can tap water make a sound?

Butzwasser offers another advantage for all “sensitive” surfaces where aggressive cleaning agents should never be used—and where using them would even be disastrous—such as on my instruments, including several guitars. Of course, these instruments get perfectly clean and feel well-maintained, and there’s absolutely no damage to the surfaces—but that goes without saying.

In my circle, it’s also used on violins, double basses, brass instruments, and much more—even on drumheads and grand pianos from the most renowned manufacturers. I think it’s already considered an insider tip.

Now, the whole thing also has a tremendous “side effect”—the instruments sound even better. To be precise, they sound purer and more natural—yes, even fresher in the sense of “liberated.” I’ve been making music for 30 years; people turn to me when it comes to “sound” and specialized solutions (including modifications and tuning) in productions; I’m also active in the high-end hi-fi industry, worked for a long time at an instrument maker, and have 15 years of experience as a sound engineer and musician—in other words, I’ve known the “sound of sound” in all its facets for over 30 years.

A grand piano, for example—even “visually” alone—shines so brilliantly that you’d think a sea of tiny lights had been embedded in the lacquer. And that’s “just” the visual aspect.

When Mr. Dietrich comes to the concert hall to work on the grand pianos, it takes about an hour before you can experience the “unleashing of sound.”  You can also bring the grand pianos directly to him—in which case, this resourceful inventor has additional methods at his disposal to make the “unleashing of sound” even more intense.

Trying to describe this “sound release” wouldn’t do it justice—you simply have to hear it. There’s also a special functional water for instruments, though it’s only available upon request, as it’s customized and produced specifically for the surfaces and acoustic spaces. If you’re interested, just ask Mr. Dietrich—he’ll be happy to help, since music is also one of his passions.

I had both my instruments and my entire high-end hi-fi system “de-informed” by humanum. Afterward, there was little to say except “Thank you”—and then it was just a matter of listening, feeling, or rather “sensing.” It’s overwhelming. A vacation for the ears, I’d say.

With that in mind—Martin Hoefle, Landshut, July 10, 2023
