Madidus … a wonderful bath
Cleansing and Caring for the Subtle Bodies
“If we could wash away the darkness within us, our hearts would be pure again.”
Please always shake well before use.
Cultures all over the world associate water with healing. More than 3,000 years ago, bathing was already a celebrated practice in India. People have always made pilgrimages and journeys to specific sacred wells and springs all over the world. Water from a truly pure and clean spring carries a wonderful, subtle light and contains a “seemingly empty space” for a person’s body, mind, and soul. Within this space, there is easy access to the field of creation. Unfortunately, however, such springs are now almost nonexistent on this planet.
To the extent that it has been accessible to us and we have succeeded, we have incorporated this emptiness and this ultra-fine light of a pure spring into the wonderful Madidus bath. Through the water element present and the essences of Madidus, a person can intuitively “bathe and refresh themselves” with the sensitive, profound, and healing water beings. And at the same time, “immerse” themselves in the subtle world of the universe—in the truest sense of the word.
Every drop of water, wherever it may be, carries within it the experience of ebb and flow, the power of the moon, and the transition from solid to liquid to gaseous. When people open themselves to this, the healing effects on subtle levels are immense. For many people, water is “good medicine” and holds spiritual significance! For them, it is a form of inner purification and renewal; it awakens their senses and strengthens their consciousness. Herbs and other essences have always been used for bathing. In warm water, the pores of the skin open up. Acids and waste products can be eliminated, and nourishing substances can be absorbed.
The Hot Bath
Always induces a fever-like state. This stimulates the production of white blood cells, thereby boosting the body’s defense against bacteria and germs. Whether viruses actually exist has not been scientifically proven. Blood circulates wonderfully throughout the body—to the heart, lungs, and kidneys. The immune system is stimulated, nutrient transport in the blood is boosted, and muscles and joints relax. In response, the body slowly begins to sweat.
Is Madidus a therapeutic bath?
“Whoever understands the effects of water and knows how to apply it in its exceedingly diverse forms possesses a remedy that cannot be surpassed by any other. None is more versatile in its effects.” (Pastor Kneipp)
The topic of healing is such a vast subject that one would certainly have to write a very thick book about it. Such a book could only be read with one’s heart. The mind has no access to it. To ultimately reach the point where a person sheds their many “masks,” experiences a pure soul within themselves, and fully experiences the one heart of creation. Then we would be whole. Yes, that is true healing. We wish this for every reader of these lines. All Humanum products support people on their journey toward this goal. The Madidus Healing Bath can play its part in this.
Ingredients
Humanum salt and isotonic Quinton seawater.
The salt oil bath contains a complex of over 90 minerals—some of them colloidal—derived from sea salt. Minerals are the sparks, the building blocks of life. They subtly stimulate the metabolism and the immune system.
Humanum Skin Toner
Please see the description under the “Skin Toner” product on our website.
Organic Germanium
Organic germanium is a natural, health-promoting skin care product. It stimulates cellular metabolism in the epidermis and enhances oxygen supply to the outer layers of the skin. It can help release energy blockages in the body’s cells. On the one hand, organic germanium promotes sweating; on the other, it is equally relaxing and harmonizing.
Only the organic compound dipotassium germanium(IV) citrate L(+)-lactate is used here. A very small amount of this germanium is sufficient to provide the benefits in a bath. We use liposomal germanium.

Strohantus (Strophantus gratus)
An almost unknown medicinal plant for the heart. It took a stroke of luck for the properties of this plant to be revealed to people. A biologist accidentally came into contact with an arrow poison extracted from the plant while brushing his teeth. After brushing his teeth with this toothbrush, the scientist’s heart symptoms improved significantly. In the 1990s, scientists discovered that g-strophanthin circulates in the human body, where it has a regulating effect on high blood pressure and heart failure.
Today, extracts from the seeds of the Strophantus plant are primarily used in homeopathic and anthroposophic medicine. In this Madidus salt oil bath, Strophantus promotes deep relaxation and a sense of calm.We use only Strophantus gratus containing g-strophanthin.
Almond oil (cold-pressed)
Soothes and protects the skin with vitamins A and E. It helps the skin retain its moisture. Almond oil has a soothing effect and can firm the skin. We use liposomal almond oil in part in this salt oil bath.
Peanut oil (cold-pressed)
It has a positive effect on blood pressure and the immune system. It has a high vitamin E content. It has nourishing and moisturizing properties. Peanut oil penetrates deeply into the skin and promotes regeneration. It can firm the skin and make it supple. We use liposomal peanut oil in some cases.
Argan oil (cold-pressed)
This oil soothes the skin and has anti-inflammatory properties. Argan oil nourishes dry skin, provides moisture, and improves skin elasticity. It is particularly well-suited for soothing the skin and combating skin imperfections.
Essential oils
Essential oils act on the so-called limbic system in the human brain through the sense of smell. They can penetrate the skin and influence the body’s natural processes; their effects correspond to the nature of the plant. Essential oils are potent substances that should always be used with caution.

Testimonials
My absolute favorite is the Madidus bathwater. For me, it’s like being in the amniotic fluid of my earthly and divine mother. Absolute stillness. I feel completely rejuvenated after every bath. I’ve also never spent so much time in the bathwater without getting cold or feeling exhausted. A true delight for me. I experimented with overtone singing in the bathtub, and I was able to let the overtones that arise during this process unfold and perceive them much more clearly. It’s like bathing in a living ocean. (Ms. W from Warstein, 2025)
